Here at Merv Spencer Photography, we aim to create memories using our photographs for you to keep forever. We truly believe that by making the session fun and memorable it is possible to get some fantastic results with our portrait photography.
We don’t believe in all of these gimmick backgrounds, with a simple background, backdrop or even environmental portrait photos, the natural beauty of your friends, family and pets will create some captivating photos.
Every studio session is pre-prepared and we ask you to have a think about the shots that you would like to see and using our years of experience, we aim to achieve amazing photos that we can either provide to you digitally or create wall art to show off in your home.

Our makeover photography sessions provides you access to a stylist, makeup artist and an experienced photographer to give you a fun and enjoyable experience with some amazing imagery results, supplied to you digitally or printed.
Our stylist will advise you on what to wear to get the perfect photoshoot, which can be undertaken in our Heanor based studio or may be you fancy an environmental shot?
Our makeup artist will use their experience to show you how gorgeous you can look and prepare you to face Merv Spencer, the experienced photographer.
We offer a full portfolio and publicity photography package for models, actors and bands for just £95 including one hour’s studio photography time and a minimum of 15 high-resolution copyright free digital images supplied on CD.
Location sessions start at £125. These sessions can include up to three changes of clothing and different looks and are priced for a single person only, with the exception of bands.
A fantastic way to capture a milestone – our party shoots are really popular with teenagers who can bring along a group of friends for a fun shoot complete with loud music in our studio.
Includes a CD containing your fully finished and edited images, and a free print of one group image for every attendee. Best of all is our super simple pricing structure – just £95 for the session (up to one hour) and £15 per attendee (up to a maximum of nine)
Professional Studio Head Shots available from just £25 including your favorite image on a CD or email to you to download and already within 20 minutes of the shot being taken. These headshots are perfect for casting agencies.
We also do Passport Photographs in our studio in Heanor, with ‘Right First Time’ guarantee!
A fun time in our studio, either just for yourself, you & your partner or up to three friends. (Glass of bubbly on arrival / non-alcoholic available) approximate duration around 1 hour per person. So if there are 4, please allow half a day. Great idea for Hen Party fun.
