This new wedding venue situated in historic Darley Abbey is literally a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Derby City Centre. The venue has three floors, its extremely unique and very very swish.
The venue has been transformed from a Grade 1 listed mill and the positive of this venue over some of the others, is that you have exclusive use.
As the mill is situated on the River Derwent there are some fabulous photo opportunities, with my favourite being next to the newly landscaped grounds by the river.

About The West Mill Venue
Dating back to the early 1800’s, this grade 1 listed building sits in the beautiful suburb of Darley Abbey. This once formed the core of Thomas Evans’ cotton mills all powered by the River Derwent, which sits next to the mill buildings.
With the buildings laying empty and derelict, its has been transformed into an exclusive wedding venue licensed for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions.
If you have booked the West Mill as your wedding venue, be sure to get in touch about your wedding photography. We can also arrange an engagement shoot at the venue itself.
