Trash the Dress

Trash The Dress was a trend originally started by John Michael Cooper, a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer in 2001. Although the concept of destroying a wedding dress can be seen in Hollywood movies dating as far back as 1998 when Meg Cummings in the TV show, Sunset Beach ran into the ocean in her wedding dress.

Trash The Dress or “Rock the Frock” as it is also known is purely you, in your wedding dress in a place that is unconventional. This could be in a lake, in a workshop or even having a swim in the local pool. All of which, me, Merv Spencer have photographed, with some fantastic results, with it even hitting the headlines in the Derby Evening Telegraph as the “Dirty Dozen”

I’m all open for ideas and I am willing to try most things to get the photographs that look the best. If you are interested in doing this or would like to take part in the next “Trash The Dress” event, then please use the Contact Form to get in touch.
