Hello, I’m Merv at Merv Spencer Photography. Welcome to the website dedicated to Wedding and portrait photography, Here is a little bit about myself, my role at Merv Spencer and what I can bring to you.
So… I have over 30 years’ experience within the photographic industry, mainly specialising in wedding and lifestyle portraiture. I love everything about my work, from creating fresh new ideas in the studio, to the challenge of setting off in the snow to capture my Bride & Grooms special moments, with the same enthusiasm as if it were ‘an idyllic summer day’
Before joining Field Photographic in July 2000 – I was based at home in Ripley, working under the name of ‘Video-graph Photographers’, a business run with my wife Carol at the helm!
Working from a studio base has enabled us to adopt a brand, for which we are very proud to be able to offer quality within our business, from the images we shoot, to the products used to bring your photographs to life.
We will continue to search out the best available ‘value’ for all our clients, within both our expertise and knowledge of our services, to any items, from albums to frames, which enhance our finished products.
Our aim is to treat every client as an” individual, with individual needs” and avoid a ‘one size fits all’. Therefore we welcome you to contact us and discuss your ideas and needs for us to tailor a service to suit your requirements.

We specialise in Wedding Photography and have been to just about every Wedding Venue there is in Derbyshire. We are also transparent and list all of our prices and packages on our website.
All Wedding images are supplied on a CD or a USB memory stick ready for you to view at home.
I love shooting Portraits, whether in my professional photography studio or on a location utilising the scenery. It could be you on your own, with a loved one or even the whole family. I also love doing photos of your pets.
Portrait sessions can be booked online and once we have finished the capture, I will upload your photographs to view in our client gallery.
